We want to share some important updates about the methods of communication we’ll be using going forward.

We are pivoting away from communicating via Meta which owns Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp.

We are reviving our blog, increasing our email communication, and investigating alternate social platforms like Substack, Pinterest, Reddit, and BlueSky… so please send us any thoughts, questions or suggestions you have because we don’t want to lose contact with you, our sparkling community!

Many of you have already seen our Instagram Stories announcement that we have begun the process of personally and professionally divesting our money from further lining the pockets of America’s oligarchy, but we know not everyone follows us on social media platforms.

Jane raised me to have a keen awareness about the world at large and to care about people, places and challenges outside of our own relatively privileged bubble. When the Black Lives Matter movement took center stage after the murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, Jane and I knew that we needed to more fully integrate our personal convictions with our business operations and started our giving program. We donate 5% of very purchase you make on our website, and this year we’re re-added the ACLU to our donation options.

It may seem odd to be hearing from a fine jewelry brand about fighting against the destructive effects of a highly capitalistic society, but we all grew up with the popular expression “put your money where your mouth is.” So that’s just what we plan to do, because it’s a time tested powerful form of resistance in this country.

We’ve canceled our Amazon Prime accounts and won’t be ordering anything from there or shopping at Whole Foods. We’ve switched our search engines from Google to DuckDuckGO and are researching who profits from everywhere we spend money. I’ll be compiling our research into an on-going resource on our blog because we have to band together to build the future we want to see!

We would love to hear from you with any information that could be added to our divestment resource. This is going to be a messy and imperfect process because we live in a highly capitalistic world (and are only 2 people), but we're just going to take it step by step, day by day. If we can all change our purchasing habits by just 5-10%, that’s a massive collective impact!

We are honored to create such meaningful pieces in your life and want you to know what you’re getting when working with us: a couple of imperfect mothers of Ukrainian Jewish heritage who don’t identify with their religion but do identify with the centuries long struggle for minority communities to be recognized as whole, meaningful, magical people.
